Portrait Photography Tips
1. Hold your camera very still of use a tripod
2. Know how to use manual or auto focus
3. Focusing on someone's eyes has a tendency to soften skin
4. KISS (keep it simple, stupid)
- Use narrow depth of field (image is clear and background is blurry)
6. Get up close
7. Alter perspective (different angles ferent)
8. Experiment with lighting
- side lighting
- back lighting
- Golden Hour: one hour after dawn and one hour before dusk (level and intensity of sun)
- do not shoot into the sun unless you want a silhouette
- shoot the photos in the shade if the sun is really intense
- add color filters
